Lightroom and Photoshop workflow session

This Lightroom and Photoshop workflow session is designed for those who have very limited knowledge of the tools or those who are new to photo editing. The session will ideally take place in my editing suite in Norwich, Norfolk, but I can also run it online via Google Meet.

I have been using Photoshop as one of my work tools for many years and with Lightroom thrown into the equation, I have created a great workflow for making my images stand out.

This 2-hour session will stop you from being worried about what controls what and show you how to start editing how to use the software for file management in both Photoshop and Lightroom and the use of some specific plugins.

I will take you through a selection of images to be working with and show you step-by-step instructions as I edit along with you in the comfort of my own space, designed for making work.

The Lightroom and Photoshop editing sessions are designed to cover everything that creates everyday workflow including:

  • Importing and selecting files
  • File management
  • The Lightroom Library and how it Works
  • How catalogues work
  • How to Crop and straighten images in both Lightroom and Photoshop
  • Making adjustments to White balance, shadows, highlights, and contrast
  • Using the various masks/brushes in Lightroom
  • Working in layers in Photoshop
  • Selecting multiple images to merge in panoramic mode
  • Cloning and spot healing
  • Dodge and burn
  • Sharpening and noise reduction
  • Adding a watermark
  • Exporting
  • Printing

What do you need to bring for the session?

For the workshop, you will need to bring along a notepad and pen.

You can bring along your laptop if you want to do some of your images on there, if so I also recommend you bring the charger along for it as well, this will need to be running the most recent version of Lightroom and Photoshop as controlled via the Creative Cloud.

You will soon discover how easy it can be to edit these shots by using the correct workflow.

What experience do I have as a tutor?

Through the session, we will be discussing the theory behind and what makes a good image. This comes off the back of my many years of commercial photography experience and time spent studying photography as an art form.

You know you will be in good hands during the sessions with me.

I have spent over 10 years running workshops, including 4 years of teaching and writing workshops for all levels and ages of photographers for the country's biggest photographic retailer Wex Photo Video

As one of the ambassadors for Formatt-Hitech filters, a UK-based, yet one of the world's largest landscape filter companies, they fully support me in my work and pass on my knowledge of photography as I meet their high standards of excellence through my sessions.

5 years studying Commercial, landscape, and architecture photography to the Master's degree level with some of the best mentors and tutors the country has and graduating with a 1st class degree with honors.

I have also picked up a few awards along the way and I have exhibited and been published worldwide, just check out my Shows and Awards page
